Reign of the Supermen #315: Victorian Superman

Source: Project: Rooftop (2011)
Type: Fan-made ElseworldsFollow the above link for the other half of Matthew Humphreys' Victorian World's Finest.

Two things I particularly like: The baby blanket turned into a sash by Mother Kent. And that those boots never go out of style (well, except this week).

What the...? Actually, I have to say that I rather like it. I'm a sucker for Napoleonic uniforms.

Jodphurs! By jingo THAT's the proper attire for your old-school heroic deed-doer! Doc Savage wore them! They were good enough for Captain Triumph, good enough for Liberty Belle, good enough (for just that first adventure) for Alan Scott; they're jolly well good enough for Victorian Batman.

Tights? Pfaugh!

And you never know when you'll need to jump on a horse in the crowded Gotham streets.

You never know when you'll have to jump on a mechanical pterodactyl from a giant fully-operable typewriter replica, in crowded Gotham City, either, but you do know that at some point you'll need to. So preparation is the key.
Also!
Congo Bill wore jodphurs. That's the same Congo Bill who discovered the Elephants' Graveyard, the Fountain of Youth, the Lost Mines of Ophir, and a hidden valley full of live dinosaurs. I say any boob can put on a pith helmet and bumble around in the brush, but to really find big stuff, one must wear jodphurs! It's really the only rational choice.

Oh!
And Bulletman!

Blackhawk, too, with the jodphurs, him and his whole squadron.
The main problem with this whole New 52? No jodphurs. It's a travesty.

Who has time with jodphurs when you're all too busy jumping out of aircraft!
